Emseni Community Project, a registered non-profit organisation (Registration number: 2003/015490/08), is dedicated to community development in the KwaMashu, Inanda, and Ntuzuma (INK) areas under the jurisdiction of eThekwini Municipality, Durban.

Since its establishment in August 1999, Emseni Community Project has been fully funded by KwaMashu Christian Centre (KCC) and operates under the guidance of Pastor Ngiyabonga Mzimela and a dedicated Board of Directors. Originally created as a nonpartisan community development arm of the church, the organisation recognised the pressing social challenges faced by the communities it serves, such as unemployment, HIV/AIDS, environmental degradation, lack of household food security, children-headed families, and inadequate educational facilities.

In the past two years, Emseni Community Project bravely adapted its services to adhere to Covid-19 protocols and combat the pandemic. Despite the challenges faced, including limitations on direct community engagement like door-to-door home visits, the organisation remains committed to serving and uplifting the communities it supports.
